The association of chronic inflammation with cardiovascular disease

The association of chronic inflammation with cardiovascular disease
It has long now been believed that chronic inflammation is strongly connected with cardiovascular disease. It is suggested to be a significant causative factor for the rupture of atheromatous plaques.
Several studies attempted to identify the pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory agent, which will succeed both the reduction of chronic inflammatory markers and the incidence of cardiovascular events. So far, this scientific effort has been fruitless.
It is anticipated that newer on-going studies, which include colchicine, SGLT-2 and monoclonal antibodies will produce positive results on the matter.
Nevertheless, until scientific research find the drug of longevity and reduction of chronic inflammation we should not neglect that several lifestyle modalities have a significant anti-inflammatory effect.
Regular physical exercise, proper nutrition, dental hygiene, smoking cessation, along with lipid and diabetes control are very effective in reducing inflammatory markers.
